During this COVID-19 crisis, we hope you, your family and your pets are weathering this time safely and in good health.
The Loudoun Pet Sitting Company has walkers available to assist our area’s essential workers. We may also be able to help if you are working from home and need your dogs walked to help them get some exercise so you can focus on work. We are operating with a partial staffing level at this time, so please reach out with your needs and we will do our best to accommodate.
Safety and careful hygienic practices are important to all of us. Our team members are being diligent about washing their hands, using antibacterial hand wipes, carrying sanitizing wipes or spray, and maintaining good social distance as recommended by the CDC. If a walker becomes sick, they will stay home and we will assign coverage to another walker and we will, of course, let you know. To minimize the surfaces that we touch, we are generally not filling water bowls or changing water at our visits unless it is necessary.
If you are not home and need your dog walked or pet(s) cared for, please leave sanitizing wipes and spray for us to use on leashes, bowls, doorknobs, faucets, etc, and any other surfaces we touch.
If you will be working from home and want your dog walked for some exercise, please contact us to confirm that your walker is comfortable entering your home while others are home. If a walker is available, please do not meet them at the door, and do let us know how you want us to enter the home. If possible, please have the dogs ready to go and in an area where our walker can easily reach them without disturbing you. Please assist our walkers in maintaining good social distance, wiping off or spraying leashes and doorknobs with disinfectant sprays or wipes, and leaving spray or wipes for the walker to use after the walk. Our walkers may use an easily accessible sink to wash their hands before they leave, or they may use their own supply of hand sanitizer. Either way, please know that our team is being extra careful and cautious with their interactions with others in accordance with the most recent guidelines.
We are monitoring Governor Northam’s orders and plan for re-opening Virginia, and will continue to follow the most recent guidelines for opening and safety for everyone. When appropriate, we look forward to seeing all of our furry friends again!
